Ngati Porou Hauora is an integrated health, development and support services provider. It is owned by nga whanau and hapu of Ngati Porou to provide services to everyone and to improve health status and to increase the life expectancy of all of our population.

Our values of Ngati Poroutanga, Tikanga, Tiriti o Waitangi, Rangatiratanga, and Whakapakari will be reflected in everything we do. The principles of equity and equality; efficiency and effectiveness; participation and information; and access and affordability; will guide our service delivery.

The people of Ngati Porou are encouraged to join our staff, who are our most important asset. Staff members are supported to up-skill and practice in a quality environment.

Ngati Porou Hauora is the Kaitiaki of Te Whare Hauora, and all the health buildings and facilities on the East Coast for future generations.

Our logo represents that we serve Ngati Porou, that we are of Ngati Porou and that we are here for Ngati Porou Hauora to provide overall health and support services.

The lower red koru pattern represents Papa-tua-nuku, the Earth Mother and depicts whanau/adults and tamariki.

Our sacred mountain of Hikurangi stands tall and is central to our logo with the constant hope symbolized by the rising sun, first to see the light of the world, giving light, warmth and life.

The koru pattern above the maunga represents Ranginui e tu nei the Sky father and is the symbol of the strong hammer-head shark which is part of our link to the sea.
