Auahi Kore
Kaiawhina are based in each of our 6 coastal clinics as well as 2 who are based at our Kaiti clinic.
They provide services in the area of Smoking Cessation, Green Prescription.
Kaiawhina are a part of each clinic team and work in conjunction with the nurses, doctors and other clinical services based in each clinic.
Referrals are made through each clinic.
Registration forms available at Tolaga Bay, Tokomaru Bay, Tawhiti, Ruatorea, Tikitiki and Matakaoa Clinics.

- Tell your friends and whanau so they don’t smoke around you
- Take up an activity—why not try the free aerobics at the Army Hall Gisborne, every Tuesday and Thursday from 5.30pm. Kawakawa Combined Rooms, every Monday and Thursday from 6.00pm. This is a lycra free zone for the whole whanau to enjoy

What does the programme offer? We offer a free 12 month smoking cessation programme targeting 18 years and over.
- Comprehensive interview assessments
- Weekly and quarterly follow ups at 3, 6, 9 and 12 month intervals

- Free nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) patches and gum
- Ongoing education and support
